Decking The Halls

Ni hăo This week was really fun! We kinda took it slow because Sista Wally got deathly ill,  so I've been nursing her back to health (not really just like to pretend that im useful). Although, it gave us some time to do some christmas decorating  ️while she was resting! Its like an elf came to our apartment! Don't be fooled, we still grinded out that missionary work. Luckily all of our plans were pretty easy going. Including MORE CHRISTMAS DECORATING for some cute older couples that can't quite do it themselves and other awesome service opportunities! We ended the week with quite the missionary extravaganza on Sunday. Our bishop wanted to showcase the mandarin speaking missionaries in the mission and provide our ward a chance to get to know them so they came to visit!! I got lucky enough to speak with them in church. That also provided some lovely confusion,️ and some ward members now think I am a mandarin speaking missionary.... so thats been fun to clear up! Mostly just...

Not So Funny

This week was awesome!!  We did lots of service and got to help out with all the kiddos in church yesterday! PRIMARY PROGRAM GOES CRAZY, we've been helping them prepare for their performance for a couple weeks now so it was really fun to see it put all together! Also a miracle that I got some of my bffs to sing #blessup  FUNNY (not so funny) moment of the week: we had to drop our friend. Sadly one of our friends.... was tryna be a lil more than friends with Sister Wallis. He had me straight up third wheeling so that was amusing but not for Sister Wallis. Rip Gary. Officially been a missionary for 4 months!! Even though I have a lot more time left, I've been reflecting on what I've experienced so far! Quite sure I say this every week, but I have been SO blessed! It is WILD to see how what I believe has changed and grown. It is a miracle in itself that I am here serving but even more so how many good things I have been given while doing so! My mission has shown me how ...

MIRACLES

HOLA!!!  Honestly don't remember most of what happened this week but it was awesome nonetheless!!  Elder Gilbert from the seventy came to visit our mission so we had lots of conferences this week with him! I learned a lot from what he had to say and Im grateful we had that opportunity!! We helped that cute lady who is a bit of a hoarder again. This time instead of sorting 500 bags of beans, we found about 500 toothbrushes in her bathroom. Negotiating with a hoarder is a quite the interesting task but we LOVE her!!! She really is so sweet and kind so we are praying extra that she can pass her inspection. MIRACLES!!! I've been grateful that so far, my mission has helped me focus on developing a habit of looking for small miracles everyday. As a result, it makes my heart super full when i experience big miracles. This week my dad got in a bad car crash. With heavens help, he walked away with only a couple scratches. After hearing the news, I just knelt down in prayer to than...

GREETINGS FROM SAMMAMISH!!!!  I had the worst and BEST week ever! It was so sad to leave my cute buddies in the Cottage Lake Ward. Tears were shed. I was able to visit and say goodbye to a lot of my members which was horrible (not actually) but im so grateful I could! What a great blessing it is to have had something so hard to leave!! Bothell spoiled me with the best missionaries, ward, and companions!!!  BUT ALAS I moved on Friday into a super nice apartment complex in Sammamish Valley and my new companion is Sister Wallis!!! She is so sweet and SO fun. I'm already having the best time serving with her! ALSO I'm double covering so I'm serving in 2 wards which equals 4 HOURS of church, SCORE!!!  I have no idea why but we have had the most funny and outrageous weekend ever! Couple funny moment highlights: -At a member dinner this little girl had the most wild pet collection. She introduced us to a pet gerbil named Pedro and a pet spider named Gertrude. It was so...
