6 MONTHS

Literally WUT. I've been a missionary for 6 MONTHS, 1/3 of the way there!! #blessup

PAULINAS BAPTISM
Yesterday was THE BEST DAY EVER. Pau is a miracle. She found us by googleing "Christian churches near me," filled out the form to meet with missionaries and she got baptized 2 months later!!! ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!! It has been so fun to have taught her from the very beginning. I would consider her to be one of my closest friends. Pau is freakin hilarious, fun, and such a great example to me of a disciple of Jesus Christ. So grateful the lord put her in my life. It's hard to describe in words the experience we had at the baptism yesterday. All I know is that teaching her has been a privilege and God's plan is so much greater than ours

Funny moments:
-The Elders in our building were deathly ill this week so we made a couple trips to check on them. First, we had their PANTS in our car for a couple days after they were hemmed. Just cracked me up that we had to return the ELDERS FREAKIN PANTS. Second, when we returned the pants the Elders had been cooped up for days in their apartment to attempt to recover. They were so starved for social interaction. It was probably the most delusional conversation I've ever had. For context, they are normally quite sane so it was both hilarious and concerning to see that. Somebody's gotta get those boys healthy and out of that apartment

-Pau was nervous about her baptism and told us "Im going to look like a giant milk drop"

-On Friday I was super pooped from all of our activities. I was attempting to express this to Sister Wallis by telling her that I was on my last straw. Instead, I said "I'm on my last string." She asked, "how many strings do you normally have?" Had us both crackin up for dayz about how im running out of strings...

One of the scriptures I chose to put on my 2024 vision board is

Jacob 5:72
72 "And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them; and they did obey the commandments of the Lord of the vineyard in all things."

In subttle ways and big ways, I have felt the Savior labor beside me as I serve. I wouldn't be able to be away from my family and friends for 18 months without Him! The past 6 months have opened my eyes to see more of Christ's hand in my life and especially his hand in the lives of those around me. I couldn't be more grateful for what I've experienced so far. Cheers to 12 more months.

Probably the longest email I've sent on record. +5 points if you read the whole thing! Lot's of crazy stuff going on here this week so I had to. My apologies!!! This upcoming week is going to have lots of goodbyes. (Sister Wallis is going home on Wednesday and abandoning me...for starters)....I feel change coming my way but my heart is full of joy from the wonderful people I've met and the friends I've made who make saying goodbye so tender. Oh what a blessing and a curse it is to be a missionary.

LOVE ALL OF YOU SO DEARLY

Peace out
