Bring Yo Dog 2 Church

Image
Heyyy! Honestly having a  ️writers block ️ period with my emails. Nothing crazy to update you on lately.  Things have been going good! It went back to being rainy this week. I have loved the rain in WA. It is pretty fun to not care if you're soaked or not. I feel like a hoodlum walkin around the town with my black rain jacket + hood on SOMETHING FUNNY: This week we went to a members for dinner and their dog peed on Sister Hanni. Which that was kinda funny but also not that big of deal.. kinda just happens right. BUT THEN they freakin brought this dog to CHURCH the next day. To set the scene... the dog is not well trained... and the Sacrament is being passed. Meanwhile the dog is growling and making weird noises on the back row the whole time. Pretty hard not to crack up. It's an interesting crowd in Renton... im not going to lie. Love em SO much tho! IM LEARNING  I've been reflecting a lot on what I've learned on my mission so far, just in general and also this transfer...

Hey! Honestly not too much to update you on for this week. KSTEW would get after me if I didn't write anything so I'll give you a brief rundown  This week FLEW by!!! Sister Hanni and I crack up together often and are honestly going a tad bit crazy because of it. Think, kids who had too much cotton candy right before bed  But its been a grand ole time! I'm grateful for that.  We also got to take one of our recent converts, Altina, to the TEMPLE for the FIRST TIME. Altina is the cutest, most SLAY 12 year old! It was so fun to watch her excitement. She took pictures of like everything outside the temple! It was awesome. PLUS love me some good swimming in the baptismal font. Otherwise, our week was pretty much filled with long, but good meetings!  Welp thats it boys I LOVE YOU ALL Catch you next week  oh yeah....p.s. hit my 10 MONTHS this week, EHHHhh WUT  PICS

HOLLA!!! This week was awesome! After last week, I think God sent some vitamin D to fix things right up BUT ALSO  This week was just genuinely so good! We had an exchange with the Hermanas in Bothell, laid out in the sun for every lunch hour (catch me workin on that tan), we got back with my bff Rick, and we went to the TEMPLE!!!! In other news, I did help run my 5th funeral on Saturday. That's #5 within the last 8 weeks. We also were told that another person in our ward passed this week so another funeral is in the works. Attending so many funerals has definitely changed my outlook on each day. I am grateful to be alive! We are so blessed for everyday we are given. I definitely say this a lot in my emails but my heart is sincerely so full of gratitude for how much I have been blessed with. So thankful for my freakin awesome parents, every single companion I've had, good friends, the people I have met here, and the joy that I find in Jesus Christ!!!!    John 15:11...

You've Got A Friend In Me

Hey!!! The past couple weeks have been pretty interesting to be honest. I've learned a lot! Here is a spark notes version️ of some vulnerable things that have been weighing heavy on my heart and on my mind. As I've been struggling with a couple things, my freakin awesome companion, Sister Hanni, has been a wonderful support. She read to me a really good children's book. It's called "You Are Special" by Max Lucado. The book is highlighting the importance of spending time with our maker and growing in Him to learn and to care more for what matters to Him than what matters to this world. It shows that as the main character got closer to Eli (He represents God), the less the things of this world would be aligned with him or stuck with him.  It does not matter what people think of you. What matters is what our creator thinks of us. When our focus is truly on what our creator thinks of us, then what everyone else thinks doesn't carry weight on us anymore. Easier...
