No English

I am no longer an english speaking missionary... not sure if I've mentioned this but Seattle is a huge melting pot! 

I am either butchering some spanish contacts or I am a google translate missionary for people who speak Amharic, French, Portuguese, Persian, Cambodian, Chuukese, or Marshalese. 

The problem in this area isn't finding people who are interested in learning more about Jesus Christ. The problem is finding a way to teach them so that they can fully understand. 

I am learning so much about different cultures and religious backgrounds. People are amazing. I really believe that you can learn something about God's character from EVERY religion 

I really wish I could remember and share every miracle I've experienced in this area but there really just isn't enough time. My favorite one from this week is about our friend Joelle (Julie) we are teaching...

Joelle is from Ethiopia. She speaks a couple different languages but prefers french. Luckily her english is pretty good too! Right when we started teaching her she got sick and has been in and out of the hospital. She is consistantly in pain from her symptoms. Part of what she deals with makes it so she cannot see well or read. BUT even with all of that she told us that she has managed to get through the first couple pages of the Book of Mormon! I have been overwhelmed with compassion towards her and her difficult circumstances. It is amazing considering her situation and just the fact that some people are too stubborn to just read the book in general. Joelle really wants to learn more about God and I am so excited for the gospel is bless her life. I know it will!!!!!

AS FOR THIS WEEK:
It was pretty busy for me. I went on Exchange in Enumclaw and in Bothell back to back! Then Sister Pack and I got to go to transfer planning. President + Sister Henderson took us out to eat after and we got spoiled hehe! It's so weird knowing all the transfer news but not being able to tell anyone 
We had a lot of really good lessons with our friends this week. It has been so cool to see them progress over the last 6 weeks I've been here. 

Anywho, long email. I know

Greetings From RENTON

Heyyy bffs! This week was absolutely nuts, I swear the weeks keep getting more chaotic everytime.  My BESTIE KAILEY SANNAR left me, then I was in a LIT trio with Sister Johnson and Sister Debloois! They are so fun. We went on a GOOD dab spree for those couple days. However during our time together we each got white wash calls (which means they take all the missionaries out of the area and replace them with new ones). Moral of the story, all together we whitewashed 4 areas. So that was interesting, kinda stressful but we survived. TRANSFERS: I love going to transfers and seeing so many friends!! I got transferred to good ole R-Town. Renton is more south in the mission than I'm used to so I'm excited for a change. South= a more humble crowd and it's already been very cool to see how willing/open people are to learning more about Jesus Christ.  My new companion is Sister Melton, she is a sweetie cutie petite little dumpling sugar plum! Not So Funny

This week was awesome!!  We did lots of service and got to help out with all the kiddos in church yesterday! PRIMARY PROGRAM GOES CRAZY, we've been helping them prepare for their performance for a couple weeks now so it was really fun to see it put all together! Also a miracle that I got some of my bffs to sing #blessup  FUNNY (not so funny) moment of the week: we had to drop our friend. Sadly one of our friends.... was tryna be a lil more than friends with Sister Wallis. He had me straight up third wheeling so that was amusing but not for Sister Wallis. Rip Gary. Officially been a missionary for 4 months!! Even though I have a lot more time left, I've been reflecting on what I've experienced so far! Quite sure I say this every week, but I have been SO blessed! HAPPY MONDAY!!!  Got to go to the temple on Friday with friends and it was SO fun! We grubbed at cafe rio after and this dude was tryna get our church address but it was a little sus how bad he wanted it so we are gonna send the Elders his way Funny story from this week! I was on an exchange with the stls and a car of boys asked for our numbers. It was a pretty funny interaction telling them how we are on missions and we don't date for a couple years Anyway enough with the weird things that happened... this week so awesome! Sister Hatt and I are bffs!!! We get cracked up about stuff all the time and I feel so grateful that she is my companion, the transfer is flying by so im gettin a wee bit nervous that change could be coming my way.
