Reunions

I AM SO HAPPY!!! wow if i thought last week was good.. this one just topped it!

It has been the most tender gift to be back in Sammamish. It has been almost a year since I first got here. I get to experience the same seasons and the same members. We are still fed so much good food and get to live in the same bouje apartment complex!

PAULINA:
Last year in November we met Paulina. She had revently gotten divorced and moved to Sammamish. She was feeling alone. She wanted to get closer to God and have a church community. She googled "christian churches near me" and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the closest! After, she filled out a form to meet with missionaries and thats when we knocked on her door to meet her. After a couple visits, she accepted our invitation to be baptized and prepared for it! I got to be here for that special day in Janurary as well as take her to the temple for baptisms for the first time too!

I left Sammamish at the very beginning of March. NOW im back! It has been so cool to see her growth in the time I have been gone. This week she had us over for dinner! Her kids were fighting over who should say the prayer. They all wanted to. Her oldest Harper ended up saying it. She was nervous so I got to help her pray for dinner for (mostly likely) her first time. It was a special experience for me! It is amazing to see the blessings in their life that have come from the gospel. One year ago Paulina wanted to know about God and find a community. Now she knows more about God and she is knows she is loved by many within this Sammamish congregation!

Elder Kearon spoke about this joy that the gospel brings in his general conference talk too.

He said
"At the start of my journey of faith, joy in Jesus Christ was my first great discovery, and it changed my world. If you have yet to discover this joy, embark on its quest. This is an invitation to receive the Saviour’s gift of peace, light, and joy—to revel in it, to wonder at it, and to rejoice in it every Sabbath."

Being a member, living the gospel, and being a missionary have brought me SO MUCH JOY! The gospel of Jesus Christ truly blesses all of God's children!!!! How lucky am I that I get to witness others feel that?!
