Bomb Cyclone

Holy! I have quite the update this week!! get a load of this.

On Tuesday night a "bomb cyclone" hit the Seattle area. Sammamish got hit really hard. I haven't seen as much damage anywhere else. Winds were above 70 mph and coming from the east which apparently... the trees aren't equipped for! We were aware that the power was going to be out but we didnt know how serious it was until our zone leaders showed up at our door.

Along with the power being out for serveral days, we didn't have any phone service either so it was difficult to know what our mission leaders wanted us to do. They decided to have all the missionaries without power stay with other missionaries that had power. We traveled between Seattle and Sammamish for about 3 days. One day I drove for 5 hours!!!! It was not fun! The traffic was horrible everywhere because all the traffic lights were out. We would wake up in Seattle pack all our stuff back up in case the power came back then head to Sammamish for a "regular" work day.

It has been so tragic to see all the people and homes affected by the storm. Almost every other house has a tree in their roof and power lines on every street are in the road. Its wild here. All the damage made it easy for us to serve and help people in such a natural way. We just drove around helping people all day! SERVICE IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!

I think it was a good reminder for everyone here to be grateful for what we have! Especially me!!! I am so thankful for all that I am blessed with! Electricity is a beautiful thing. BLESS UP

Mosiah 16:9
"He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless, that can never be darkened; yea, and also a life which is endless, that there can be no more death."

Not only am I grateful for the physical light that we now have restored but I am forever thankful for the spiritual light that Jesus Christ brings to my life. My mission has done nothing but testify of His love and light to me.

Wow. What a week! I have been living everywhere but home. Grateful to be getting back into our normal routine. God is good!!! Being a missionary is awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!
