Listen Up Boys

Image
Good news boys. I'm still abiding in Sammamish Valley and its awesome! Quick update:  There's a lot that happened this week. Sister Wallis abandoned me (I'm being dramatic. Her time was just done. Hit her 18 months and left me) I was with Sister Gale for a couple days to recover from the abandonment. She was my STL this transfer and we served together in Bothell so that was so fun!! Sister Gale got white washed AND got a training call so that was amusing and chaotic to say the least. Made our 2 days together so outrageous but it was epic nonetheless. THEN ON FRIDAY I picked up my lit new comp SISTER SANNAR !!!  SERIAL KILLER: Already having a blast with Sis Sannar. Our phrase we love saying the past 2 days is "listen up boys". Hence the title. Bout to run Sammamish Valley. also its her last transfer too so she will be abandoning me in march. Safe to say im officially a serial killer. Thats 3/4 comps, I'm here for it though!!!  Transfers always get me a...

6 MONTHS

Image
Literally WUT. I've been a missionary for 6 MONTHS,  1/3 of the way there!! #blessup PAULINAS BAPTISM  Yesterday was THE BEST DAY EVER. Pau is a miracle. She found us by googleing "Christian churches near me," filled out the form to meet with missionaries and she got baptized 2 months later!!! ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!! It has been so fun to have taught her from the very beginning. I would consider her to be one of my closest friends. Pau is freakin hilarious, fun, and such a great example to me of a disciple of Jesus Christ. So grateful the lord put her in my life. It's hard to describe in words the experience we had at the baptism yesterday. All I know is that teaching her has been a privilege and God's plan is so much greater than ours  Funny moments: -The Elders in our building were deathly ill this week so we made a couple trips to check on them. First, we had their PANTS in our car for a couple days after they were hemmed. Just cracked me up that we had to return ...

Shenanigans

¡Hola amigos! Nope I'm not an Hermana. Just spicing things up here. Anywho, twas a great week per usual!  WEATHER SHENANIGANS: Washington has been in the 40s-50s thus far but this week the weather decided to drop to the 20s which I'll admit has been a wee bit chilly. HOWEVER.. its mostly amusing to hear people talk about it. We got like a centimeter of snow and they delayed school. I find it hilarious. For me its been the best winter ever. (Don't tell my mom but until this week I haven't really worn even a jacket) I mean don't get me wrong it was fun to get some snow and feel a little at home but I am sure grateful I'm not digging my car out of the Snow Hall parking lot at USU right now. MISSION MUSIC:  Phew. It's been quite the past few months without some good tunes. I'm becoming more aware of how desolate my resources are in the music department. I've recently discovered myself crankin up that classical instrumental music radio station after liste...

The Holy Holiday

Image
Happy Monday!!! Its Pday (the holy holiday) This week was pretty average we did lots of contacts (knocking doors essentially), had a couple baller lessons with Paulina, got fed super good by members as always, and I loved the institute class we attend weekly with all the missionaries in the Sammamish Valley and Bothell zones!  IT WAS PAULINAS BDAY: Our friend we are teaching is new to the area. She pretty much got here the same time as me so she doesn't have many friends. Anywho, we had the idea to throw her a little party with some ladies in our congregation. It turned out so cute and fun! I freakin love Pau!! She is my bff fr One of my favorite scriptures lately  2 Nephi 4:35 "35 Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss; therefore I will lift up my voice unto thee; yea, I will cry unto thee, my God, the rock of my righteousness. Behold, my voice shall forever ascend up unto thee, my rock and mine everlasti...

Really looking forward to the growth, change and miracles that 2024 will bring Starting off strong... drum roll please... we put my bestie Paulina ON DATE for baptism!!! We still have a couple things to teach her so please pray that she will continue to progress!  As for funny and memorable moments this week, we have many: -Pranked the Elders living in our complex by wrapping their door in plastic wrap  -SAW THE BIGGEST, BRIGHTEST RAINBOW -Visited a members house and their 10 yearold grandchild was over....He is set to graduate high school at the age of 12, that made for some humbling moments.
