Probably Goodbye

Hi everyone! I had an awesome week!!! Last week before transfers and we had so many fun things!  Saturday was probably the highlight of my week. We had a lesson with my bff Sarith and served at the welcome tables in the morning. After, we got to do baptisms at the temple with Viola for her first visit. She felt nervous about it so she just watched but after she told us how much she loved it. Baptisms are one of my fav things to do at the temple! I'm getting excited to go to the temple all the time when I get home!!!! After, we had a lesson with Danielle. She has lowkey been ghosting us for like a month. We put her on date a while back and things got busy in her life so she wasnt progressing. BUT we finally met with her! She still wants to be baptized but she needs to get hitched first. HALF WAY THROUGH OUR LESSON.... shes like oh ya.. i invited my friend to come but i didnt think she would actually come. Her friend was quite alarmed that she was meeting with "mormons" so ...

Elder Bragg Day

Hey bffs!  Elder Bragg from the seventy toured our mission this week. It was a great conference and I learned a lot. The spirit was so strong. I took many notes. Most of which were MAD humbling. I've got lots to work on but I'm glad the Lord doesn't leave us as we are! ️Ether 12:27 ️ Plus, I got to see my friends there. It was so fun but there's never enough time to catch up!! Can't wait to hang with them for real  Update on Sarith: If you can remember... he's slightly blind so we made him a HUGE baptism calendar and we wanted us to right down the commandments for him so he can remember them every day. I FREAKIN LOVE SARITH.  DONT TELL MY MOTHER: While we were driving this week we stopped at an intersection. In the time we were at the red light, we saw a car get pulled over by a few cop cars, police get out with guns and arrest the guy driving. Interesting intersection I'd say. So there's that... along with all the other crazy shenanigans on the side of ...

Viola's Baptism

GOOD MORNING My biggest update from the week is that VIOLA GOT DUNKED! It was so good. Her baptism was on Saturday. She was nervous for it all week. Friday night she injured her foot pretty bad and couldn't really walk but she didnt want to cancel so she pushed through. At her baptism, I got to sit next to her and it was so special. She shed tears the whole time. The spirit was so strong!  We also got to go to the temple this week. I got to see some cute ladies from old areas that Ive served in. They said that I look grown up. Not sure if that's because my hair is longer or what but it was SO fun to see them.  Also, I'm on Vashon Island today for our zone activity yay  SOLID WEEK! I love being a missionary. God is so good.  Love you all  MORE PICS:  https://photos.app.goo.gl/ 4i5RDkyGjLZHnTzj6

HEY!!!!  I had an awesome week the area is starting to pick back up so it was pretty busy!  Here's a little update on some of the people we are teaching:  VIOLA: Wahoo! She is getting baptized this week on Saturday!!! Im so excited.  KAREEM: Very intelligent. The most challenging person I've yet to teach. His questions are extremely deep and intellectual. Which is great! He wants to learn more about God and find the truth. On the other hand, I really be sweatin before we meet with that dude  SARITH: OMG I LOVE HIM. We found him while knocking. He has been so consistent in meeting with us and coming to church weekly! We teach him half in english, half in Cambodian. Plus, he can't see. It's safe to say we get very creative with our lessons. This week he asked us to take a picture with him so he can show his friends when he visits Cambodia in January, Sarith always says "I am learning about God, little by little, one step at a time." Same Sarith same....

What up fam!  This week was awesome. It was slower than most. We had a couple days where a ton of our plans fell through but we made the best of it!!  I LOVE PEOPLE! Burien has so many humble people... with a few nut jobs mixed in there but the majority is good, humble people. This week we had many sweet women crying to us while expressing the hardship they are experiencing in their lives.  One woman fed us a huge cambodian meal. It was delicious. She started to cry as she fed us and then told us how happy it makes her to be able to cook for others. When she was young, her mother was single and lost her job while they were still living in Cambodia. They were very very poor but she said her mom always made sure that they had food. She expressed so much gratitude for her mother and everything she has!  My mission has been so good for me to really remember how blessed I am. Not that I wasnt grateful before but even more so now!!! I am really blessed with SO MUCH!!! the ...
