Find Grind

Hi family!!! This is going to be a quick one!  Things are going well here in good ole Sammamish. It's harder to find people to teach here. Definitely different than Burien. Tracting isn't very effective but different ways of finding can be difficult too. Sister Duryea and I have been racking our brains with what we can do to help the work here. Our goal is to better work with the youth! The youth can influence so many people and we want to be good friends with them!! We have some exciting opportunities coming up to help us work with the youth and the members! Ever tried to put Christ in Halloween? Well, this week we did! We helped our bff Nan Slaughter pull together a "day of the dead" themed room for the ward Halloween party! We tied it into family history and emphasized that is how we honor our ancestors. It was awesome. Nan went all out with the decor and everyone loved what we did!!!  Not much else to update you on for this week but im having so much fun!!!!  HOPE...

Seek And Ye Shall Find

Happy Monday! I had a busy but awesome week!!  Monday and Tuesday are always easy! On Wednesday we were on exchange. Sister Miles came here and has served in Sammamish too so it was another day full of reunions! So fun!!!!!! Thursday we had zone conference pretty much all day! I love meetings because we get to see half the mission. Plus, I always learn so much. Friday we helped out at a youth temple day for the stake. They had food trucks for the youth outside the temple. It was awesome! We helped with hot chocolate and stickers. We also got to see my bff Paulina and hangout with her for a bit that night. She is hilarious and knows how to have fun. Saturday was SO GOOD!!! We got to drive back to Burien for Sarith's baptism! I love my (almost blind) Cambodian friend. He is so good. It was an amazing experience to be there from the beginning of his journey and see how the gospel has blessed his life! What a special day!  Sunday we had interviews with President and stake con...

Reunions

I AM SO HAPPY!!! wow if i thought last week was good.. this one just topped it!  It has been the most tender gift to be back in Sammamish. It has been almost a year since I first got here. I get to experience the same seasons and the same members. We are still fed so much good food and get to live in the same bouje apartment complex! PAULINA:  Last year in November we met Paulina. She had revently gotten divorced and moved to Sammamish. She was feeling alone. She wanted to get closer to God and have a church community. She googled "christian churches near me" and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the closest! After, she filled out a form to meet with missionaries and thats when we knocked on her door to meet her. After a couple visits, she accepted our invitation to be baptized and prepared for it! I got to be here for that special day in Janurary as well as take her to the temple for baptisms for the first time too!  I left Sammamish at the very beginni...

Guess Whos Back

OH MY!!!!! I had the best week ever. We had transfers  At the beginning of the week I knew I was leaving Burien so I was able to say goobye to most of my bffs which was sad. Sarith's baptism is later this month so I'll get to go back soon.  THEN on Wednesday I found out that I would be going back to Sammamish for my last 2 transfers. Sammamish is probably my favorite area tbh. I just LOVE everyone here. All day Wednesday I was shook. Couldn't believe I was going back. That like never happens. Same ward and everything!!!  PLUS, Sister Allie Duryea is my companion. She is from Clinton and we have many friends in common. We have been having SO MUCH FUN!!! Seriously already besties. ALSO we have two new sisters in our zone that white washed in so we live in a QUAD. Rip my sleep schedule because we just cant stop chatting. Its so fun.  For the first couple days we were living in a 1 bed, 1 bath with 4 girls. That was kinda funny. On friday, we spent most of the day m...
